It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Berkley Hobson of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Berkley Hobson to pay them a last tribute.
Though Berkley may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Berkley touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Russell Jenkins and Juanita Adeline Cash Jenkins; and her husband James M. Hobson. She is survived by: her sons, James M. Hobson, Jr. and John R. Hobson; and her sister Lois R. "Becca" Lücker (James). She is also survived by three grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakeys Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
