She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Bowe and Wilma L. Bowe; her husband William Thomas Nichols; her son Joseph Milton Betters; and her siblings, Evelyn, June and Forrest (Jeannine Bowe).
She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Cheatwood (Ben) and Vicki Custer (Ken); and her grandchildren, Savanna, Tyler, Chad, Krista and Christopher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5731 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012).
