She was predeceased by : her mother Nannie Pierce of Max Meadows. She is survived by : her children, Orville (Amanda Hayes), Charles Hayes of Christiansburg, VA, Ronald Hayes of Galax, VA and Shana Griffith of Christiansburg; her grandchildren, Sydney, Alex, Ava Hayes, Jonathan, Travis Hayes, William, Onyia, Leighann and June; and her close friend Mary McNiel of Pulaski.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lotz Funeral Home 1001 Franklin Road SW Roanoke, VA 24016 to help offset the cost of her cremation, as she had no insurance.
