He is survived by: his children, Jackson Ray Dale (Teresa) of Bristol, Tennessee, Jewell Dale Moore (Paul) of Daleville, Virginia and Ernest Edward "Ernie" Dale of Roanoke, Virginia; his grandchildren, Myron Timothy Dale (Charlotte) and Whitley Dale Grunstra (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Michael Timothy Dale, Blake William Grunstra and Cayden Alexander Grunstra; his sister Ann Dale Nunley; and his friend Patsy Campbell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Frost Funeral Home (250 E Main St, Abingdon, VA 24210). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
