He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rowland Hopkins, Sr. and Sinah Helen Landry Hopkins; his wife Mildred Allman Hopkins; his son Charles R. Hopkins, III; and his sisters, Kydie Hopkins Kay and Margaret Hopkins Horner.
He is survived by: his son Edward Allman Hopkins (Janet Pridgen Hopkins); and his grandsons, Isaac Edward Hopkins (Lina Schneider) and Jeremy Claiborne Hopkins (Robin Fain Hopkins).
Memorial gifts may be made to Grandin Court Baptist Church and to the Roanoke Valley Rescue Mission.
