Charlotte Inez Wood Tyree Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charlotte Inez Wood Tyree of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on October 2, 2019, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. You may leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Charlotte Inez Wood Tyree to pay them a last tribute. You may also light a candle in honor of Charlotte Inez Wood Tyree. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society since she had more than one form of cancer it made sense to donate to a foundation that fights all of them. A memorial and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Charlotte was a very strong individual whom had battled cancer for 12 years. She lost her battle on October 2nd 2019. She was many things to many people a daughter, sister, mother, wife, family and a friend to all. The family would like to say a special thank you to Beth her Carilion home nurse whom went above and beyond medically and Charlotte loved her like family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lillian and Herbert H. Wood jr, and two of her children Wyatt Russell Zimmerman and an infant girl.
She was survived in death by her Son, William R. Zimmerman and wife, Abigail Zimmerman: Daughter Brandy N.G. Davis and husband, Shawn E. Davis: grandson, R. Wyatt Davis 8 years old: granddaughter, Lilly A. Davis 7 years old: Brother, Merle Wood and wife, Angie: Sister, Nancy Cecil, uncle, Roy Wood and wife, Louise and numerous other family members and friends
Charlotte graduated from Glenvar High School. She loved going to Myrtle Beach and being in the ocean and just walking with her feet in the sand. One of her favorite places at the beach was the Grand Pavilion and the Boardwalk. One of her favorite songs was sitting at the dock of the bay. She enjoyed playing games on her phone with her online friends. She also enjoyed playing games and spending time with her children and her grandchildren.
