She was predeceased by: her husband Leonard "Len" Waters; her parents, Margie "Velma" Simmons and Ray E. Simmons; her siblings, Daniel "Danny" Simmons and Catherine Beck Younger; and her cousin Bonnie Marrow.
She is survived by: her daughter Claire Flowers of Roanoke; her niece Margaret Younger Rogers (Steve); her great-nieces, Aubrey and Addison; her brother-in-law Moe Younger of Lynchburg; her extended family Missy Marrow Delaney (Clay); her children, Shelby, Aubrey and Declan; and her friends, Angie, Maya Lamprinakos, Juanita Ervine, Steve Parker, Britt Lorish, Mike Shrader, Leketa White and Martha Monsour.
