She is survived by: her husband David Kossow; her children, Barry Martin, Jr. (Ericka) and Amy Martin (Gary); her mother Bernice Ferguson Carter; her grandchildren, Steve Smith, Kirklend Smith (Holly), Jessie Stultz, Collin Maartin, Jadin Martin, Ian Martin, Mace Martin, Amanda Baker and Haven Janney; her great grandchildren, Koda Ferguson-Janney, Eddy Smith, Addie Baker and Gentry Baker; and her brothers, Ricky Carter (Katherine) and Mark Carter (Susan).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Blue Ridge Cancer Care.
