Dolly Jane Dean Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dolly Jane Dean of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on June 23, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Darrell F. Dean Sr.; her siblings, Annette, Vernoy, Keys, Gordie, Peggy, Betty, Jack, Tom and Evelyn; and her daughter-in-law Judith Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Lynda Mabrey (Terry) and Michael Dean; her stepson Darrell Freddie Dean Jr.; her grandchildren, Joshua Logan Mabrey (Valerie), Martha Hemingway (Jon), Tommy Dean and Jeffrey Dean; and her great grandchildren, Gareth Mabrey, Gavin Mabrey, Hudson Sparks, Lorelai Sparks, Cohen Hemingway and Audrey Hemingway. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (5555 Lee Hwy, Dublin, VA 24084).
