He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Davis and Ruby McClanahan Davis; and his brother Edsel Davis. He is survived by: his wife Daphine M. Davis; his daughter Melissa Conner (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Bradley Conner (Patti Ann) and Melinda Facemire (Nathan); his great grandchildren, Liam Conner, Owen Conner, Josie Mae Facemire, Cole Facemire and Case Facemire; his siblings, Ilene Lee, Mary Afton, Charlotte Justus and Randy Davis; and his siblings' children, Nancy Miller and Nicholas Justus.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 1:50 PM to 2:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24017).
