He is survived by: his wife Martha Slocum Ferrell; his daughters, Donna F. King and Sherry F. Crickenberger (Chuck); and his grandchildren, Ella Crickenberger and Collin Crickenberger.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sherwood Memorial Park (1250 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153).
