He was predeceased by: his father Donald Ray Scott Sr.; and his sister Terry Lynn Davis. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis Scott; his daughter Rebecca Jane McWilliams; his son-in-law Griffin McWilliams; his granddaughter Rowan Rae McWilliams; his sister Mary Hale; his brother-in-law Rusty Hale; his nephews, Denton, Cameron and Luke; his brother-in-law Gordon; and his sons, Jeremy and Zach.

He worked tirelessly during COVID, wearing a respirator for long 12-hour days and working overtime when they were short staffed.
