He was predeceased by: his parent Betty Mozingo Lucas; his grandparents, Reverand B. L. Mozingo and Mary Jeanette Mozingo; and his aunt Mary Mozingo Claybrook. He is survived by: his brother David Lucas (Robin); his grandsons, Lucas Halsted, J. J. Halsted and Bryan Jones, Jr.; his cousins, Ann Adele Claybrook and Jimmie Claybrook; his niece Amy Jennings (Philip); his former wife Patti Lucas; his daughter Katie Jones; and his son-in-law Bryan Jones, Sr..

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Oakey's South Chapel (4257 Brambleton Ave, Cave Spring, VA 24018).
