He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Tompkins Guilfoyle and Francis William Guilfoyle; and his stepmother Marie F. Guilfoyle. He is survived by: his wife Catherine "Cathy" Hurst; his children, Frank Guilfoyle, Jr. (Suzanne), Mary Guilfoyle (Brian), Elizabeth Forjan (Gary), Peter Guilfoyle (Kathy), Carolyn Finnegan (Danny), Patricia Vaughan (Chris) and Michael Guilfoyle (Dana); his sister Mary Doherty; his stepchildren, Marie and Randi Bernard (family: Garland, Chris Andres, Kathryn, Dan Bozic, Drew, Michelle Hurst, David Hurst, Daniel, Robin Hurst, Lee Probst); and his close friends, David Dixon, Paul, Kathy Barrell, Jennifer Najum and Toby Cruser. He is also survived by family, Kathryn and Dan Bozic, and family, Drew and Michelle Hurst and family.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Nazareth Catholic Church (2505 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Resurrection Catholic Church (15353 Moneta Rd, Moneta, VA 24121).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Frank's memory to New Horizons Health and Roanoke Catholic School.
