We announce the death of George Alexander Pruner Jr. (Roanoke, Virginia), born in Lebanon, Virginia, who passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 75. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, George A. Pruner and Pauline Gibson Pruner; and his brothers, Dr. Robert A. Pruner and Joseph H. Pruner. He is survived by: his wife Susan A. Pruner; his daughter Laura Pruner Coffey (Eric); his granddaughter Charlotte Grace; his brother-in-law Eric Akers (Teresa); his sister Jennie Smith (James Gooch); and his close friends, Mary Lou Blevins, Brian Blevins and Meredith Pastore.
