He was predeceased by: his parents, Hammett O'Neil and Gertrude; his stepfather Fred Harkerader; his brother Mike O'Neil; his son Chris O'Neil; and his stepson Steve Hutcherson.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret O'Neil; his daughter Kim Simeroth; his stepson Mike Hutcherson (Jamie); his grandchildren, Ryan Simeroth, Zach, Jessica Hannah (Josh), Tyler McFarland (Brittney) and Wyatt Anderson (Caitlin); and his great grandchildren, Landen and Hayden Damiano. He is also survived by several cousins and his aunt.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lotz Funeral Home (1330 E Main St, Salem, VA 24153). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
