It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Imogene Bedwell Wingate of Roanoke, Virginia, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Imogene Bedwell may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Imogene Bedwell touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Bedwell and Nannie Bedwell; her husband Joe Donald Wingate; and her daughter Karen Wingate Agnew. She is survived by: her brother Robert Bedwell (Gussie); and her children, Susan Fleming (Garry) and Greg Wingate (Kim). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous friends.
