James left this world on April 17, 2024 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by : his parents, Clayton Clark and Jean Clark; his siblings, Cheryl Chamberline and Joseph Clark; and his pet Maggie.

He is survived by : his wife Helen Clark; his children, Jackie Lantz (Donnie), Jeffrey Scribner (Connie) and Gregory Scribner (Debbie); his granddaughters, Megan, Samanatha, Marissa Scribner, Madison Lapides (Ben) and Hannah Lantz; and his great grandchild Layla Lapides. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakey's North Chapel (6732 Peters Creek Rd, Hollins, VA 24019). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
