James Gilbert will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. He was predeceased by: his father C. Thomas Carroll. He is survived by: his children, Tess (Alex) and Gabe; his mother Judy (Bill); his siblings, Tommy (Sheryl), Nikki (Lenno) and Marc (Lisa); and his wife Jessica. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, many cousins, aunts and uncles, as well as new and lifelong friends and co-workers.

A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel.

Jim was actively involved with The American Heart Association and he would be honored by a donation to the AHA in lieu of flowers.
