With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Ripley of Roanoke, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 28, 2024 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Ripley to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid adieu to James' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration James has bequeathed us. He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Louis P. Ripley and Madolyn Davis Ripley; and his brother Thomas Andrew Ripley. He is survived by : his siblings, Paul Ripley (Dana), Linda Greeley (Paul) and Anne Ripley. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and many cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
