He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Slemons and Virona Slemons; his wife Norma Lee Slemons; his son David Slemons; and his siblings, Elsie Longwell, Samuel Slemons and Peter Slemons.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Sutphin (Richard) of Christiansburg, Deborah Conway (Daniel) of Roanoke and Rhonda Garman (Kerry) of Catawba, Virginia.; and his stepdaughters, Cindy Thompson (Ralph) of Mount Peiler and Karen Henley of Ashland. He is also survived by five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
