She was predeceased by: her parents, Pat Jefferson and Sallie Jefferson (Arrington); and her brother J. C. Jefferson (Barbara). She is survived by: her husband Tommy Gibson; her sons, Mike Gibson (Twila) and Jeff Gibson (Pam); and also, Marcia Gibson, Dick, Sue Gibson, Doug and Judy Gibson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Their son, Mike, is married to my niece, Twila, and Joyce and Tommy were good friends with my sister, Jeanette, and her husband, Doug Trout. Joyce and Jeanette greatly loved the same grandson, Rob Gibson. My family and I send our sincere regards and condolences to her family. Rest in peace, Joyce, for a life well lived.
