She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Turpin and Gladys Browning Turpin; and her siblings, Bobby, Calvin Turpin and Ellen Munger.
She is survived by: her children, Jamie Smith (Dana) and Laura McLester (Malcolm); her grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Andrew McLester (Kacey) and Amanda McLester; her great grandchildren, Marley and Maddie McLester; her brother Rev. Charles Turpin; and her close friend H. S. Serry.
