She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Summers and Virginia Keaton Summers; her husband Joseph Britton Helms; her sons, Robert "Chuck" Helms, Nickie Rae Helms and Jack Lee Helms; and her brothers, Bobby and Wayne Summers.

She is survived by : her children, Michael Lane Helms (Kay) and Tammie Helms-Tran; and her daughter-in-law Becky Helms. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
