With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maurice Elton Wright Sr. (Roanoke, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldridge Wright and Annie Barnhart Wright. He is survived by: his wife Louise Conner Wright; his sons, Elton Wright (Jane) and Chris Wright (Anita); his brother Wesley Wright; his grandchildren, Kelly Faulconer (Justin), Katherine Burns (Patrick), Casper Wright (Lee) and Morgan Cassell (Brai); and his great grandchildren, Madison Faulconer, Rhett Cassell, James Burns and Charlotte Burns.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Oakey's South Chapel (4257 Brambleton Ave, Cave Spring, VA 24018). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
