She was predeceased by: her parents, William H. Giles and Lucille C. Giles; and her siblings, Claude W. Giles (Merolene) and Kathryn Giles Jessee (Rodney). She is survived by: her husband James M. Mason Sr.; her sons, James M. Mason Jr. (Lisa) and Richard S. Mason; her sister Janice G. Wilson (Mark); her grandsons, Derek B. Mason (Courtney) and Carter B. Mason; and her great grandchild Beau C. Mason.
