We are sad to announce that on April 22, 2024, at the age of 81, Melvin Horne of Roanoke, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Sam Horne and Lillie Mae Horne; and his sisters, Florence and Elizabeth. He is survived by : his wife Beverly W. Horne; his son Greg Horne; and his siblings, Louise, Joyce, Estelle, Magdalene, Reba and Raymond.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's North Chapel (6732 Peters Creek Rd, Hollins, VA 24019). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012).
