We are sad to announce that on September 26, 2025, at the age of 68, Michael Allen Metz (Roanoke, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Michael is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Michael's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Jean Davis and George Allen Metz. He is survived by: his girlfriend Dawn Caldwell; his sister Cindy Metz (Tom Deane); his children, Jeffrey Davis Metz (Sarah) and Lauren Jeanne Metz; the parent of his children Claire Goyette Metz; and his granddaughters, Marley Jean Metz and Heidi Anne Metz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory (3912 VA-419, Cave Spring, VA 24018).
