He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Edward and Maggie Hepler Simpson; and his wife Marilyn Jean Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Daniel E. Simpson of Buford, GA, Cathy Simpson Freeman of Troutville and Christine Joy Lester of Blue Ridge; and his stepchildren, Pamela Dillingham of Villa Rica, GA and James Binkley of Locust Grove, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
