He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Hakimzada and Said Hakimzada. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Shermat; his children, Mary Martin (Eric), Michelle Shermat and Michael Shermat (Angel); his grandchildren, Tyler Martin, Garrett Martin, Gavin Martin, Kendyl Niedermeier and Carter Niedermeier; his siblings, Judith Wallace and Mortizar Hakimzada; his siblings-in-law, Joey Pierce and Jane Hardman; his friend Chris Frye; and also Lisa.
