She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lockhart and Evelyn Lockhart (Bush); her son Robert Todd Fortune; and her son-in-law Bruce Schilkie. She is survived by: her husband Sonny; her children, Harry H. Fortune, III (Pamela), Yvonne C. Fortune-Schilkie and Cynthia R. Fortune (Tim Irish); her grandchildren, Harry H. Fortune, IV, Amanda R. Fortune, Robert H. Fortune (Olivia), Cassey Peck (Patrick), Tyler Spires (Maddie), Randy Spires, Zach Irish (Madison Butler) and Sean Irish (Morgan); and her great grandchildren, Braylen, Andrea, Theo, Heidi, Helena, Madeline, Jackson, Temperance, Olivia, Konner and DJ. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends; as well as many grand fur babies.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Genesis United Methodist Church (formerly Southview UMC) 3539 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, VA 24019 or to your local SPCA.
