With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Odell Berle Sheffey of Roanoke, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 21, 2025 at the age of 71. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Odell Berle leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Andrew Sheffey, Sr. and Onnie Belle Elliott Sheffey. He is survived by: his brothers, Ralph Sheffey, Jr. and Joseph L. Sheffey (Jeanette); his nieces, Jody Jeffries and Janel Sheffey; and his great-niece Asia Jeffries.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (7318 Manns Dr, Fairlawn, VA 24129). A memorial service was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sunrise Burial Park (7228 Round House St, Fairlawn, VA 24141).
