It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peyton Hash of Roanoke, Virginia, born in Banner Elk, North Carolina, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gurney (Georgia Hash) and Peyton; his daughter Chesley Peyton; his wife Merle Neece (Neece); his children, Casey Hash (Wanda) of Elk Creek, VA and Heather Simmons (Dallas) of Bonsack, VA; his grandchildren, Peyton Hash (Katie) of Roanoke, VA, Stacey Hash-Jans (Greg) of Roanoke, VA, Chesley Horton (Matthew) of Galax, VA, Grayson Simmons (Sydney) of Minneapolis, MN, Katie Hipp (Exree) of New Albany, OH and Emily Simmons; his brother Grayson Hash (Nancy) of Greer, SC.; his sister-in-law Chesley Wiger of Atlanta, GA; his cousin Bobbie Jones; and also, Chesley, Peyton and Cody. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
