She is survived by: her daughters, Juliet "Marie" Meldrum of Greer, SC and Tina Melissa Staples of Roanoke, VA; her siblings, Janice Billingsley of Roanoke, VA, Lisa Marsh Brown (Mike) of Villa Rica, GA, Michael Marsh of Chesapeake, VA, Melvin Fralin of Roanoke, VA, Tammie Abrams of Augusta, GA, Sherri Richardson of Roanoke, VA and Darlene Fralin of Roanoke, VA; her grandchildren, Marcus Staples, Christopher Staples of Greer, SC, Jada Staples of Roanoke, VA, Davion Staples of Roanoke, VA and Dasiah Staples of Raleigh, NC; her great grandchildren, Leilani Amari-Faye Staples "Ladybug Leilani" of Spartanburg, SC, Xyien Antonio Brown of Roanoke, VA, Jalya and Jaelyn McElrath of Roanoke, VA; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Kasey of Roanoke, VA, Annie Motley of Roanoke, VA, Cecelia Broady (Broady) of Charleston, WV and Ronnie Staples (Della) of Roanoke, VA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory (1002 Moorman Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel (1002 Moorman Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
