She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack L. Robinson and Shirley Eller Robinson. She is survived by: her daughters, Erin Dowdy Grisso (Jason) and Jessica Dowdy Hamilton (Damon); her grandchildren, Brandon Hamilton, Landon Grisso (Kristen), Luke Grisso, Gavin Hamilton, Emma Grisso and Ryleigh Hamilton; and her close friend Jim.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory - Peters Creek (5160 Peters Creek Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 18th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Rebecca's name to Angels of Assisi (725 Franklin Road SW Roanoke, Virginia 24011).
