He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edward Burleigh and Anna Burleigh; his wife Gloria Totten Burleigh; his sister Carol Pike; his children, Brian Burleigh, Brenda Withers (John), Noel Fuller (Philip) and Cliff Jarrett (Amy); and his grandchildren, Ella Purdy (Chris) and Luke Jarrett. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
