It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Frahm (Roanoke, Virginia), who passed away on July 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Frahm and Muriel E. Nolke Frahm; his siblings, Leroy J. Frahm of Lyman, NE, Roger L. Frahm of Gering, NE and Phyllis I. Wharton of Redmond, WA; his daughter Kathy R. Frahm; and his brother-in-law Robert L. Farmer.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce L. Frahm of Roanoke, VA; his daughter Lorinda S. Frahm Straley of Christiansburg, VA; his grandchildren, Erin L. Straley Cole (Hunter) of Dublin, VA and Chapman P. Straley of Eggleston, VA; and his siblings-in-law, William L. Farmer (Sherry) of Ashland, NE and Joan E. Martin Frahm of Louisville, NE. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Covenant Presbyterian Church (1831 Deyerle Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24018).
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Richard R. and Joyce L. Frahm Scholarship Fund. Make checks payable to the University of Nebraska Foundation and send them to Joyce Frahm for processing.
