He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Swedberg, Sr. and Zaida V. Swedberg; and his brother Rodney E. Swedberg. He is survived by: his wife Alena Sehnal; his daughter Angela M. Webb; his grandson Joshua A. Webb; his siblings, Zaida Cassell (Ronnie) and Robin Swedberg (Jennifer); and his uncle George Beckwith (Betty). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oakey's East Chapel (5188 Cloverdale Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park (5070 Cove Rd, Roanoke, VA 24017).
