She was predeceased by : her parents, Hubert Lee and Viola Ethel Watkins. She is survived by : her daughters, Heather Higginbotham French (Brian) of Roanoke and Sarah Higginbotham of Fancy Gap; her granddaughter Mia Lea French; and her siblings, Alice Faye Watkins of Galax and Jimmy Watkins of Dugspur. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Burial Park (1307 Summit Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24015).
