He was predeceased by: his parents, Orrin Ham and Hazel Hart Ham; his wife Marie Maxey Ham; and his siblings, Dale Ham, Ronald "Bud" Ham, Ruth Carner and Betty Ransome.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Ham Jr. (Sherie), Jerry Ham and Jeffrey Ham (Joyce); his grandchildren, Amy Ham, Robert Ham III (Amber), Jessica Ham-Purser (Kevin), Jonathan Ham (Casey) and Jodie Ham-Castillo (Ryan); his stepgrandchildren, Leslie Ellis, Ellen Oakey and Dorothy Kelly (Paul); and his sister Shirley Troutt. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
