He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter A. Helm and Ituria B. Helm; his son Robert W. Helm, Jr.; and his brother Walter T. Helm. He is survived by: his wife Kendra D. Newton; his son Russell W. Helm; his sister Frances H. Patrick; and his former wife Nancy Fisher.
