He was predeceased by: his former wife Dorothy "Dot" Altizer Leonard; his parents, Hilton Curtis Leonard and Addie Georgene Hampton Leonard; and his siblings, Joyce Stanley and Randall Hampton Leonard.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Monteiro (Bobby), Todd Leonard (Cindy) and Paige Maness (Robert); his grandchildren, Casey Weddle (Nikki), Cody Weddle (Sara), CarrieAnn Dannhardt (Mason), Grace Leonard, William Leonard, Elizabeth Leonard, Sarah Leonard, Isabella Maness, Devon Monteiro (Rosa), Brendon Monteiro (Becca) and Chavez Monteiro (Tonyeisha); his wife Eunice McGuire; his family, Rhonda Spangler (David), Laura Cash (Marty), Matt Spangler (Ashlee), Renee Slusser (Travis), Nikki Weddle (Casey) and Dustin Cash (Jordan); his sisters, Sandra Leonard Chappell (Richard), Karen Ferguson (David) and Mary Boyer (Steve); and his close friend Sally May. He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's North Chapel (6732 Peters Crk Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24019). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Roanoke Valley Baptist Temple or Good Sam Hospice.
