He was predeceased by: his parents, James Saunders and Bertha Saunders; his siblings, Donald Saunders, Hardy Finney, James Finney, Barbara Saunders Bates, Marlene Saunders Allen, Darlene Saunders Preston, Druscilla Saunders and Elaine Saunders Grey; and his child Larhonda Saunders.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Andrea Saunders; his children, Lydia Fuller (Julius), Dr. Andrea A. Bonds, Ronnie Saunders Jr. (Nicole) and James Saunders; his grandchildren, Jazmyne, Jordan, Jade, Jassmyn Wilson (Trey), Joi, Jamek of Destiny, AJ, Rianna, Tiana, Josiah, Semaj and Laila; his daughters, Sandra Cole and Melinda Sullivan (Robert); his grandchildren, Aaron, Yazmin and Jaylen; and his siblings-in-law, Elsie Saunders and Reverend Harold Preston.
Viewing will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home & Crematory (1002 Moorman Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Loudon Avenue Christian Church (730 Loudon Ave NW, Roanoke, VA 24016). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the Williams Memorial Park (943 Westside Blvd NW, Roanoke, VA 24017).
