He is survived by: his wife Nancy Boothe; his children, Rebecca Boothe and Roy Allen Boothe (Dusty); his grandchildren, Roy Wayne Boothe, Kyra Bailey, Victoria Overstreet, Gage Singleton, Cora Singleton and Owen Singleton; his stepbrothers, Dennis Dudding (Louise) of Fincastle, VA and Ricky W. Dudding of Roanoke, VA.; and his great grandchild Mabel Mae Hale. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oakey's North Chapel (6732 Peters Crk Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24019). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (693 Mt Moriah Rd, Eagle Rock, VA 24085).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Grace Bible Church in Daleville, VA, to honor Rufus's legacy of faith and service.
