Though Ruth has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her husband Albert W. Hartberger; and her parents, Samuel Morgan and Mary Morgan. She is survived by: her children, Buddy Hartberger (Vickie), Barry Hartberger (Robin), Sharon Marchant (Greg) and Stacey Barfield (Joel). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oakey's East Chapel (5188 Cloverdale Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
