He is survived by : his parents, Pat Wirt and Billie Kessler, Sr.; and his brothers, Billie Kessler, Jr. (Dianna), James Carter (Trish) and Brian Kessler.

A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens (5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012).
