He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Patricia Ann Gray; his parents, Carlton Hartwell and Mary Lois Gray; his brothers, Richard Elton, Kenneth Hartwell and Fred Calvin Gray; his siblings-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Payne, Mary Ellizabeth Nelson (Tootsie), Barbara Ella Nelson, Rebecca Leanna Higgs, James Walter Payne, Roy David Nelson, Paul Howard Nelson and Jim David Higgs; his nephew Roy David Nelson Jr. (Chuckie); his nephews-in-law, James Edward McKinney, Larry Wayne Via, Keith Allen Fitzgerald and Taylor Webster Carter; his sisters-in-law, Lois Virginia Gray and Peggy Paulette Gray; and his nieces and nephews, Danny Hartwell Gray (Richard Thompson), Deborah Lynn McKinney, Brian Whitney Gray (Deanna), Michael Calvin Gray (Amy), Tonya Gray Hodges, Rhonda Lynn Fitzgerald, Sandy Gray Sharp, Richard Shawn Gray (Jodi), Gloria Payne Carter, Kathy Ann Webber (Mark Hilton), Rita Diane Mason, Richard Allen Payne (Bonnie), Janice Leann Waldron (Timmy), Valeria Alisa Via and Tammy Nelson Shank. He was also cherished by many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
