He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Baker and Rosa Fitz Calvin; his daughter Tamika; and his sister Mancie Mae McNeil. He is survived by: his wife Mary Fitz-El; his children, Calvin Fitz Jr., Reginald Robinson, Mario Fitz, Aliya, Rikki Cook, Moori Fitz El, Latifa, Malik, Michael Holland and Malcolm Holland; his mother-in-law Jean Holland; and his siblings-in-law, Connie Lemon and Vell Holland. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews, a host of uncle and aunts.
