He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Price Woody; his son Taylor Carlton Woody; and his parents, Albert Taylor Woody and Mamie Frances Preston Woody. He is survived by: his brother John Preston Woody; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Patterson Woody; his daughters, Sally Elizabeth Woody, Linda Price Woody and Pamela Denise Woody (Pam); his brother-in-law C. DeMoss Price, Jr. (Phyllis); and his nieces and nephews, John, Tony, Frances, Melissa and Staci.
He requested donations be made to the American Heart Association (352 Church Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24016) or the American Kidney Foundation (5450 Peters Creek Rd, Suite 213, Roanoke VA 24019) or the Beulah Baptist Church Shoebox ministry (4220 Sontag Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151).
