He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Eugene Leftwich, Sr. and Pearlie Marie Gill Leftwich. He is survived by: his wife Rita Romaine Leftwich of Rocky Mount, VA; his children, Eugene DeRon Cook of Roanoke, VA, Colby Scott Leftwich (Aisha) of Franklin, TN, Christopher Sherwin Leftwich (Ronica) of Charlotte, NC and Joanne Thomas Cook; his grandchildren, Malaysha Kheyila Ferguson of Harrisonburg, VA, Jalen DeRon Cook, Jada Marie Cook of Roanoke, Julian Joaquin Leftwich and Gabriel Scott Leftwich; his brothers-in-law, George Leon Scott, III of Pittsburgh, PA and Harry Wesley Scott (Loretta) of Virginia Beach, VA; his nieces, Tracey Sullivan Scott of Virginia Beach, VA and Sylvia Michelle Scott of Miami Beach, FL; his nephew Jason Kyle Scott (Stacie); his great-nephews, Zavier Jacob Nicholas Scott and Kyan Elijah Scott; and his great-niece Bella Grace Sullivan Scott of Newport News, VA.
